Worked in Turkey from 1953-1956, living in Istanbul.

With long-standing interest in railways previously worked briefly for British Railways. In Turkey discovered that little appeared to be known about locomotive stock so travelled extensively seeking out examples to photograph, eventually securing an almost complete collection in black and white.

Made numerous acquaintances among TCDD staff enabling me to acquire more information - much of which now forgotten due to the passage of time!
