Gazi (Ciftlik)

This little station, on the suburb line near Ankara main station, owns its fate to Atatürk model farms, which was located just nearby. Indeed, on many occasions and especially towards the end of his life, Atatürk choose to stop there rather than the main station.

The station building has been newly restored in 2000 in its original condition, displaying bright blue ceramics. It should become an interesting spot. It is now used as a restaurant and the visitors are able to visit all the rooms.

The capacity of this restaurant has been enhanced by two TCDD dinning cars, placed on the lawn in front of the station. This cars have been heavily transformed and one of them is used as a kitchen will the other is a dinning room. The car have lost the original interior design.
