Izmit

Izmit has two stations. The historical station build by the CFOA had to be abandonned when TCDD proceeded with double tracking and realignment of the ligne. This line use to run through one of the main avenues of Izmit city center, which was no longer acceptable and had to be relocated further away from the center. At that time, a new and modern station was build. The old station still exits. It has been refurbished and seems to be used as a restaurant now.
