Eğirdir
Eğirdir was the terminal station of the ORC main line from Izmir. It was built in 1912 and closed to traffic in 2003 (See here). Eğirdir had a minimal track plan with a main track and a passing loop. The passenger building and the freight shed were side by side on the main track, very much in the fashion of a narrow gauge railway. It is surprising to find such a minimal track plan for a terminal station. ORC intent was to build the line as far as Konya and Eğirdir was not really meant to be a terminal station.
It needs to be checked whether the station had additional sidings to the north.
Eğirdir city (more like a village?) is quite small with little activity. This station never had a significant traffic and kept the same building and track layout throughout its life. As of 2006, the building was abandoned and empty.
